BODY CALCULATOR
Waist-to-Hip
Ratio Calculator
Are you an "apple" or a "pear"? This calculator will help you determine whether
you tend to retain fat in your upper or lower body. Studies show that people
with upper-body adiposity (fat) face greater health risks. Both types of adiposity
can be very difficult to manage. For more information on specific products designed
to help people overcome these unique weight-loss problems, please visit our
"products" page.
NOTE:
measurments should be taken while standing comfortably. Measure your waist where
it's the smallest (typically over the navel) and your hips where they're the
largest (usually over the buttocks). A waist/hip ratio above 0.80 for women
and 0.95 for men is linked to obesity and associated health problems.
